"The Ripper" | Let Your Dog Shred

Hey there, Lazy Pet Parents! Do you have a pup who thinks tearing into a stray tissue is the perfect way to unwind? Looking for a better way to channel your dog's natural, destructive instincts? Say hello to "The Ripper" – a thrilling foraging game that's all about fun, treats, and ripping paper!

Materials Needed:

  • JW Holee-Roller

  • Paper grocery bag

  • Treats

Creating the Game:

  1. Grab a paper grocery bag and tear it into strips.

  2. Ball up a treat within each strip.

  3. Stuff the strips, now containing hidden treats, into the JW Holee-Roller.

  4. Maybe shove a couple more treats into the toy, for some easy wins.

  5. Hand over the ball to your pup and watch the excitement unfold!

Let Her Rip!

You set your newest creation in front of your furry best friend. As your dog nudges, inspects, and tears at the toy, one or two treats will fall out. What a delicious surprise! Soon they realize, "hey, there are more goodies *inside* the paper bits!" Then comes the best part: they discover they can gut that toy and feast on the treats within! They'll revel in the joy of ripping and unraveling each strip to get to the tasty treasure inside. It's a satisfying experience that taps into their primal instincts while keeping them quietly entertained.

Benefits of "The Ripper"

  1. Mental Stimulation: The challenge of extracting treats from their wrapping within the ball engages your dog's mind and sharpens their cognitive skills.

  2. Appropriate Physical Engagement: This game is a mess your dog is allowed to make. Prevent unwanted destruction by letting your pup satisfy those urges with an appropriate outlet. The kids will have to eat their own homework from now on!

  3. Stress Relief: The ripping action can be a great stress reliever, offering an release for built-up energy.

Safety First

Always ensure your dog is supervised during playtime. While ripping paper is part of the fun, we want to make sure your pup doesn't ingest any paper pieces. I'll quietly collect the empty pieces of paper while my dog is still hunting for more treats.

Your Turn

Witness the excitement of "The Ripper" firsthand! Watch your furry friend unleash their inner predator as they tear into this game. It's a playtime experience that not only stimulates their mind and body but also strengthens the bond between you two.
